Endangered Space is a game about exploring the vastness of the Milky-Way galaxy. You can choose your way through the story, whether its to be a lowly pirate,  the major bad guy, or a law-abiding citizen.

You are not the main character, just a bystander who does their own things. If you want to be respected in the galaxy, you need to earn that respect with time and effort.

Your decisions matter. All the actions you take will alter the story permanently. But sometimes the force of nature gets in the way, and a few pebbles wont redirect the river. You may need to work hard if you want to get an ideal galaxy, depending on your goals and visions.

Explore many solar systems, uncover their mysteries. Discover a conspiracy, or discover the final resting places of other spacefaring explorers. Rescue civilizations from assault, or explore the darkest caves.

What untold mysteries will you find in the darkest depths? What scared away the inhabitants of the many abandoned systems? What happens when a war-torn galaxy is threatened by the mistakes of the past... And then invaded by hostile foreigners? And most importantly, what will you do in these dire circumstances? Will you cower in fear, join the evil, or fight for your galaxy, for your home?

Install instructions

To start the game, unzip the file provided. The game is self contained, meaning there is no install process.

Please keep the .exe in the same location as the .pck file and DAT/ folder, or the game will fail to start.

If you want to modify any files under DAT/, please make a backup of the folder before doing so. If you break the game files, and  you don't have a backup, you can always re-download the game.
